It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Adele Cole on January 3, 2025, with her family by her side at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.  Adele went to join the love of her life, Lorne. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Mylissa Gorko and son Eric Vanbocquestal, parents Tom and Dianne Hammond, Grandson Koby Fawcett, father in-law Don Pettijohn, brothers-in-law Shane (Shawna) Cole and their children Luke and James; Joey (Krista) Pettijohn and their children Jordyn and Payton. Adele was predeceased by her husband Lorne Cole; son Dylan Hodgson, mother-in-law Ileen Pettijohn, Grandparents George and Pearl Teichrib; Uncles William (Elaine) Wilbert, and Roy Teichrib, brother-in-law Kurt Cole and nephew Eric Cole. Adele is survived by many cousins throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and BC.  
Adele grew up mainly in Medicine Hat with the exception of living in Singapore in her younger years. It was there that she found her passion and love for caring for the sick and elderly by working as a volunteer at the Youngberg Hospital through a school project. She enjoyed her work and later pursued a career as a health care worker in Senior homes. She took much pride in her work with the elderly and treated the residents as her family. 
She so loved her time with family and friends. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing sudoku, doing diamond art, playing cards, games and loved her fur babies Rocky and Koco and parrot Tristin. She had the most contagious laugh that would get everyone going and a great sense of humor to go with it. Adele was a devoted daughter and mother who loved and cared deeply for her children, family and friends. She was a kind and generous person. 
The family of Adele would like to give special thanks to Randy Cotton for all the years of friendship and kindness to Adele and Lorne and also for caring for their pets in their time of need.  The family is grateful for the exceptional care from the Doctors and Staff at the ICU in Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for all the care they gave Adele.  She will be profoundly missed by all those who knew her.
The memorial service  will be held in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on   Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
