Arthur William Renton, beloved husband of Patricia Renton, passed away to be with his Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the age of 95 years. He his also survived by Lyle and Donna, Morgan and Kathryn, granddaughters, great grandchildren and his nieces and nephews in England. Arthur was born on June 6, 1929, at Greengates Farm in Yorkshire, England to his parents Reginald and Mary Renton. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Kathleen Harrison and Hazel Little. Arthur and Patricia moved to Canada in 1982, and settled in Vauxhall, Alberta where he worked as a ditch rider for the Bow River Irrigation district until his retirement. He was an avid collector of vintage vehicles and enjoyed his many projects working on his acreage just outside of Vauxall. Arthur was active in his church and he lived a life that reflected his commitment to his faith.
Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so one hour prior to the service.
The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Dan Doerksen officiating. A private interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
