Beverley "Bev" Joy Koehler

Beverley Joy Koehler of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Jerome Koehler, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the age of 76 years.  She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Travis Koehler and Brandi Martin; five grandchildren, Kasey Martin, Reed Martin, Ally Martin, Aries Martin, and Justice Leblanc; two sisters, Margaret Hudson and Donna Finlay; two very loving dogs, Babe and Angel, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her loving husband, Jerome Koehler, she was predeceased by her grandmother, Violet Baldwin, her mother, Irene Mitchell and two brothers, Guy and Don Mitchell. Beverley was born on July 8, 1949, in Medicine Hat to Irene Mitchell. Her first career was as a hairstylist, then she moved on to  work as an operator at A.G.T, now known as Telus. After Beverley retired, she volunteered for years at the Salvation Army Hot Meals Program, as well as at the arena for the Tigers games and various other events held there. Everyone who ever attended an event at the arena knew her and would remember her as the “little security lady who everyone just listened to.” One of her favourite hobbies was making little stuffed bears. Beverley would spend countless hours on every detail and give them to people she cared about, or often times as a thank you for someone who helped her out, or just because a space in the house needed a little decorating.

A private family interment will take place in the Hillside Cemetery.  

Cremation has been entrusted to the Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium.
