Bradley “Brad” James Neubauer of Medicine Hat passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the age of 59 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Leona Neubauer; one brother, Mark (Nichole) and their children, Logan and Evie. He was predeceased by his father, Roy Neubauer in 2013. Brad was born on December 18, 1962, in Medicine Hat, and was raised on the farm in the Irvine area. He furthered his education at the University of Calgary graduating with a degree in Political Science. He returned to the family farm where he enjoyed managing the cow/calf part of the farming operations. He continued to be involved in many aspects of his community. He served on the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Board of Directors; as well as serving as a public member on multiple provincial and federal boards and committees. Brad spent his life on a quest for knowledge. As a veracious reader he acquired an impressive collection of thousands of books. Brad was a gifted musician and could play anything from guitar to accordion. In his spare time, he loved to explore the world through travel. Brad was an important part of Medicine Hat Musical Theatre for decades, beginning in the ‘80’s. Over the years Brad was on stage, backstage, designed sets, painted huge backdrops, served on the Board of Directors, Orchestra Leader, Musical Director, Show Director, Producer… the list goes on and on. His contributions were numerous, and his loss has already been keenly felt. He will be truly missed by the many who loved him. A celebration of Brad’s life will take place this fall.
