Constantine Christos "Chris" Evangelos, beloved husband of Doris Evangelos of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the age of 82 years.  

Chris was born in Medicine Hat on October 11, 1942, to Caroline and John Evangelos. As he grew up, he attended schools in Medicine Hat, Drumheller and he attended SAIT for their culinary program.  He married the love of his life Doris Dickhaut in 1963, and together they raised their son James in Medicine Hat.  

Chris was a businessman most of his life.  He owned the Crescent Heights Dairy Queen for 20 years.  He partnered with his brother Regas in 1980, and together they purchased the Taco Time franchise in Medicine Hat.  In 1995, he partnered with his son James and daughter-in-law Carrie, and together they owned Perkins Restaurant until his retirement in 2018.  Chris loved cooking and entertaining.  He was an avid golfer and played almost up until he went into the hospital this past summer.  Chris loved flying his radio controlled airplanes, a hobby that he had most of his life.  Chris and Doris celebrated 62 years of marriage on September 6, just two days before his passing.  

He was predeceased by his parents, Caroline and John Evangelos; his sister, Avanthia (Joe) Swan; his older brother, Dennis who passed away just one day prior to him in Edmonton on September 7th, and his younger brother, Regas Evangelos. Chris leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Doris; his son James (Carrie), and his two grandsons, Nicholas (Raina) and Alexander.  

The funeral mass will be celebrated in the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church (238 2nd Ave N.E.) on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Fr.
