Corinne Pugh Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Corinne Anne Pugh of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Bruce Pugh, Corinne passed away suddenly on October 16, 2025, at the age of 73.

Corinne was born September 20, 1952, to Henry and Agnes Lemal. While attending school in Drumheller, Corinne spent her childhood spare time exploring her community of  Newcastle alongside her siblings.

During the course of her life, Corinne held several jobs with her most notable being her time at the Royal Tyrrell Museum as the Head Librarian. Her passion for reading and sharing stories made this the perfect fit. Corinne enjoyed all things in life, aside from books and gardening, her most favorite being the time shared with family, friends and strangers alike.

Corinne is survived by her four sons: Doug (Jessica); Stephen (Kyla); Cole (Vanessa); Mitchell. Grand children: Kaitlin, Erin, Taylor, Mason, Nolan, Robert, Logen and Great Grandchild Jace. Sisters: Wendy, Bev (Willie), Tracey (Brian) and Brother: Alphonse (Jacquie). Sister-in-laws: Alice Kirkeby, Pearl Pugh and Brother-in-law: Jamie Ehrman. Corinne was predeceased by her loving husband Robert (Bob) Bruce Pugh, her parents Henry and Agnes Lemal, Brothers Dale Lemal, Doug Lemal and her in-laws Howard and May Pugh, Brother-in-laws Larry Pugh, Len Kirkeby, Sister-in-laws Marilyn Pugh, Leona Ehrman and niece Amy Kirkeby.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Drumheller Municipal Cemetery at 2:00 pm with a celebration of life luncheon to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Newcastle Community Centre, 1301 2nd Ave West.
