It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Holt on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the age of 54. Dale leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Denise Holt, two children Claire and Nicholas Holt, two sisters Denise (Willi) Granson and Shauna Holt, brother Doug Holt, Denise’s parents Lionel and Janice Provost, brothers Dyron (Leanne) and Donnel Provost as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Joan Holt.
Dale was born and raised in Peace River, Alberta. Growing up, he played many sports and was a celebrated athlete. He completed his education and science degree at the University of Lethbridge and began his teaching career in Brooks, Alberta at Griffin Park School. Four years later, Dale moved to Medicine Hat to teach at Crescent Heights High School. During his time at CHHS he was the Head of the Science Department and completed his master’s degree. He was passionate about teaching science, especially physics, and greatly valued his students’ success. Dale’s joys in life were spending time with family and friends, playing hockey and golf, and watching sports, especially the Boston Bruins. Dale was also a talented handyman who made our house a beautiful home. He was incredibly proud of his two children and was their biggest fan and supporter in life. Dale was kind, caring, humorous, and a beloved husband, father, teacher, and friend who will be greatly missed more than words can express.
