David Elson

David “Mouse” Elson of Redcliff, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the age of 67 years. Besides his loving wife Donna, Dave is survived by his six children, Christine (Matt), Mark (Madi), Tyler (Paige), Amanda (Dustin), Coltyn, and Kennady; three grandchildren, Madelyn, Emerson and Tatum; one sister, Trish (Chris); two brothers, Steve (Sue) and Brendan (Carole). He also leaves his many cherished pets, Zoey, Remi, Nelli, Sophie, Roscoe (Oscar), Mylo, Oakley, and Ripley. Dave was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Kitty Elson. Dave was born in Taunton, Somerset, England on August 16, 1958. He joined the British Military at the age of 16, and served 47 remarkable years as a soldier and civilian in the UK and Canada. Dave was a man of action; he showed his love through helping others, and volunteering to fix anything for anyone. He was a train spotter and had a love of cars and fixing them up. He loved spending time tinkering in his garage. Dave loved to chat with anyone, but most of all his family.

The celebration of Dave’s life will take place in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant David Townsend officiating.

If you have a military uniform, the family asks that you please wear it. Navy blue is the preferred colour.  

Those who wish to pay their respects may do so one hour prior to the service.
