David Webster Pratt of Irvine, Alberta, beloved husband of Audrey Pratt, passed away peacefully on the 5th of January 2025, at the age or 83 years.  

David was born on the 19th of June 1941, to Frank and Hulda in Calgary, Alberta, the 3rd of six children. After Hulda’s passing in 1952 Frank married Hazel and David eventually became the 4th of 17 children. 

David was predeceased by his son Murray; two sisters Kayla and Yvonne.  He is survived by his wife Audrey; siblings Barry, Ray, Don, Linda, Craig, Lorraine, Mary, Barbara, Janet, Franklin, Brian, Dan, Diane, Robert; and nine children Karleen, Fay, Mary, Brian, Brent, Jennifer, David, Hulda and Geoffrey.  At the time of his passing he had twenty one grandchildren and eight  great-grandchildren.

David lived in the city of Calgary until 1953, when the family moved to a farm outside of Bow Island.  He subsequently lived in various places around Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, Saskatchewan where he worked as a mechanic, parts warehouse attendant, welder, truck driver, wildfire fighter, school bus driver, rig hand and various other vocations.

To honor his request there will not be a funeral service held, instead there will be a small graveside service for family and close friends at the Queens Park Cemetery in Calgary, Alberta where he will be interred.
