David "Dave" Krause

David “Dave” Krause of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the age of 96 years, beloved husband of the late Pauline Krause.  He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Lorne (Nina), Darlene (Steve) Patyna and Dale Krause and three grandchildren, Josh (Andrea) Krause, Joel Krause and Michelle (Evan) Both.  Dave was predeceased by his wife Pauline on February 12, 2018, and his parents Helen and Christian Krause.   Dave was born at home on June 24, 1926, near Fox Valley Saskatchewan.  Dave had two siblings.  Dave's father eventually sold the farm and purchased the Richmound General Store in the 30's. Trips to Maple Creek or Medicine Hat were always a big deal.  Dave and his sister Ruth along with a choir sang on CHAT Radio weekly in the later 40's, many times with Sgt. Al and Lois Mast.  Dave and Pauline married in December of  1950 and their music ministry continued until 2010.  Dave and Pauline were very committed members of First Assembly Church  throughout their lives.  He taught Sunday School to youth and eventually adults.  Dave was  considered a quiet,  kind man by everyone he met.  He will be missed by his family and friends.  Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.    The funeral service will be held at First Assembly of God Church (395 - 9th Street S.E.) on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev.
