Dianne Thorne of Medicine Hat, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on November 13, 2024 at the age of 81, beloved wife of Robert Thorne, her husband of 60 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Susan Thorne, Steven (Tania) Thorne, David (Gayle) Thorne, Deanna (Matt) Rushton; her grandchildren, Shanda (Richardson) Thorne, Lacey (Brad) Worth, Farron Thomsen,  Damen (Alyssa) Thorne, Jayden (Brad) Hoey, Dakota (Kylie) Thorne, Jacob (Elsa) Rushton, Zachary Rushton, Lucas Thorne; her great-grandchildren, Everly, Nash, Griffen, Bohen, Norah, Keaton, Wren and Makaya; her sister, Linda (Rube) Klingspohn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dianne was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Mabel, and her sister Kathy (Frank) Wood.  Dianne was born on May 25, 1943, in St John's, New Brunswick  where she was raised, attended school, and met and married her husband, Robert.  In 1964, they moved to Alberta and continued to grow their family, residing between Olds, Grande Prairie, Red Deer, Brooks, Calgary and Medicine Hat. Dianne's priority was caring for her children and their home but she was also employed over the years as an administrative assistant at a school, law firm and real estate agency. In her retirement years she enjoyed golfing and traveling south for the winters. Dianne was a devoted wife and a loving mother who lived a life of faith and dedication to the Lord. She had a deep appreciation of family and friends and will be remembered for her gifts of hospitality and service to others. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Our hearts are heavy but our hope is in heaven where we will see her again.  The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sunnyview Care Centre for their dedicated service and compassionate care.

A private interment at Prairieview Cemetery will be held by the family prior to the funeral.
