Gary Leroy Baumback

Gary Leroy Baumback of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Catherine Baumback, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at the age of 85 years.  He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Leslie Lait (David); two sisters, Diane Major, Sharon (Jack) Browne and will be dearly missed by close friends Mike and Sally Dunn and many nieces and nephews.   Besides his beloved wife Catherine, Gary was predeceased by his parents Bill and Ida Baumback; one son Timothy Lait and niece Angela Browne.   Gary was born in Medicine Hat on September 30, 1939. He worked for the City of Medicine Hat line shop from a young man until his retirement. One of Gary’s favourite past times was golfing; he was a longtime member of the Medicine Hat Golf & Country Club. Gary also loved to travel with his wife Catherine. They visited many places including, Mexico, Spain, Alaska, Scotland, and San Francisco just to name a few.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium.
