Gary Wade Gantz of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at the age of 47 years, beloved son of the late Joseph Gantz and of Jean Gantz of Calgary. Gary leaves behind his sister Brenda Gantz, niece Molly Gantz, treasured friends Brendalee Leblanc and Wayne Whitlock as well as numerous other friends, including many he had in his life since childhood. Gary was born and raised in Calgary but made Medicine Hat his home for his last 10 years. He found a happy home renting from Joan Job and becoming close with some of her family members and his roommates. Gary loved spending time with his sister, niece, and friends. He was a huge fan of sports and loved to cheer on his beloved Calgary Flames. Gary will be remembered by his sister and his friends as having a great sense of humour and sharp wit. He had strong opinions which he did not shy away from expressing and lived his life on his own terms. Gary was loved and he will be missed. Cremation has been entrusted to the Pattison Funeral Home.
