Irene Ella Marie Pastachak

Irene will be lovingly remembered by her family, 4 children: Daughter, Laurie Harvey, Medicine Hat, AB; Son, Joseph (Tammy) Pastachak, Brooks, AB; Daughter, Tammie (Raymond) Pastachak, Bienfait, SK; Son, Trevor Pastachak, Medicine Hat, AB; 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Cheyenne, Samuel; Chassidy, Destinee, Emery; Felicia; Sam, Billy, Ben, Alex; and numerous great grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by her Parents, Charles Gutard Lindblom and Marie Louise Thievin; Brother, Ernest (Millie) Robertson; Sister, Annie (Alfred) LaValley; Sister, Yvonne (Keith) Symes.

Irene was the youngest of her siblings. She grew up and attended school in Halbrite, SK, and later moved to Radville, SK, to work as a care aide in the hospital. Shortly after she married and began her family. Life took them to numerous communities throughout Saskatchewan and BC, finally settling in Bienfait, SK, where she proudly managed the local legion for several years. In 2007, Irene moved to Medicine Hat, AB, where she happily and lovingly lived out her days.

Irene was a generous, kind, caring, and thoughtful woman throughout her life. Besides her immeasurable love for her family, she loved telling a joke, spending time with her many friends, playing crib, cooking for her loved ones, gardening and flowers, playing, listening, and dancing to music. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered for living, loving, and laughing.

In keeping with Irene’s wishes, there will be a private family service at a later date.
