Irene Stewart Obituary

Irene Stewart passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the age of 84 years, beloved wife of Donald “Don” Stewart of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory two children, Lynn (Scott) Werre and Dean Stewart all of Medicine Hat; two grandchildren DeAndra (Nick) Zeller and Ryan (Sarah) Werre; three great grandchildren and one on the way, Austyn, Ezekiel and Walker J.; two sisters, Ethel (Les) Schubrook and her youngest sister and best friend June (Orest) Tkachyk as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Bertha and Julius Karikas and numerous brothers and sisters. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Irene’s life at a graveside service to be held at Hillside Cemetery on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Please meet inside the main gate to the cemetery no later than 1:45 p.m. Those who wish to remember Irene with a donation, may do so to S.P.C.A. - 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 8E8 or to HALO c/o HALO Air Ambulance (formerly Southern Alberta Medic Air Society) #12 - Airport Drive SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 5G4.
