Jacqueline "Jackie" Denise Pigeon

We are saddened to share the passing of our mother, Jacqueline “Jackie” Pigeon, of Medicine Hat, on Friday, February 27, 2026, after a short but courageous battle at the age of 65 years. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, friend, and confidant for so many. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Kate (Clint) Smid, and Kristie (Attila) Swetnam, as well as many family members and friends near and far. 
Growing up on a farm outside of Castor, AB, Jackie was always proud of the way she was raised. She enjoyed life and was the true epitome of living with no regrets. Whether it was a spur of the moment round of golf, fishing or winters spent on the south Texas beaches, she was always up for it. She was the calm presence so many of us needed, and we are convinced she could solve all the world’s problems. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and unapologetic truth. 

Family and friends will be contacted regarding a celebration of life. 

In lieu of flowers, we ask those who wish to remember our Mom to make a donation to the Medicine Hat Health Foundation or The Yuill Family Foundation.
