Jamie Jason Ring Obituary

Jamie Jason Ring, of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, at the age of 55 years.

He is survived by his niece, Connie Davies and her children, Destiney Bowie and Aiden (Little Bubba) Davies, as well as Connie's mom, Kathy; his brother, Tom Ring; his nephew, Raymond Richie as well as numerous other family members.

He was predeceased by his brother, and best friend, John Ring; his parents, George and Gladys Ring and his grandparents, Emo and Martha Bierbach-Brown.

Jamie was born on September 26, 1970, in Medicine Hat, to George and Gladys (Bierbach) Ring. He was raised in Medicine Hat and attended Elm Street School, Alexandra Middle School and Medicine Hat High School, where he built friendships and connections that lasted his lifetime.

In Jamie’s adult years, he worked many different jobs, he spoke often of time at Reinhart's Restaurant, the Dickie Dee ice cream bike, the bingo hall, working trade shows, the stampede, and Calgary stampede just to name a few. Jamie was an avid wrestling fan and didn’t miss an event. In his younger days he spent time traveling with friends to take in events and he had the photos and memorabilia to prove it. Not only was he a fan, but he also built friendships and connections that have lasted over 40 years. Jamie was involved in many social clubs in his life, the Legion, Elks club, Moose Lodge and AA to name a few. He loved an opportunity to volunteer and meet new people. If there was a community event, there is a high chance you would find him there.

Over the last few years, Jamie has been able to reconnect with his niece, Connie and her children. He loved every moment he got to spend with them. He loved watching his little Bubba grow and maybe spoilt them just a little bit. Connie is grateful for the time they got but is sad that little Bubba won’t be able to make those fun memories with his great uncle.

Family would like to thank the ICU staff for the amazing care in his last few days, as well as Dr. Wong and the other medical professionals that Jamie’s path crossed the last few years.
They would also like to thank his workers, past and present, from REDI Enterprises. A special thank you to Natasha for being there for him and his family to the end.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Fresh Start Recovery, Addiction Mental Health Community, or a charity of your choice.

A come and go reception will take place in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. where family and friends may also pay their respects.
