Janet Faith Fischer, beloved wife of Marvin Fischer of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 85 years.  

Janet was born on August 29, 1940, to Albert and Adela Entzminger. She worked at The Bargain Shop, and she eventually retired from there after many years of service.  Janet had many hobbies including, going to the casino, playing cards and playing crib - she even had a perfect hand of 29.  She enjoyed camping with her family and friends and she was a member of the Veiner Centre.

Besides her loving husband, Marvin, Janet leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons, Stewart Fischer and Tim Fischer (Cori); her five grandchildren, Sheldon Fischer (Sabrina), Shawn Fischer (Amanda Maier), Stephanie Fischer (Tricia), Jasmin Fischer and Damien Fischer; her four great grandchildren, Brayden, Braxton, McKinlee and Banks; her brother, Bill Entzminger (Lynette) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Adela Entzminger; her brother, Fred Entzminger and her sister Irene (Cliff) Schaufele.  The family would like to say a special thank you to Alex Finlay and Mykayla Burgevitz.  

The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend officiating.
