Jean Marguerite Cox of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late John William “Bill” Cox, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the age of 94 years. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Brenton (Sylvia) Cox and Meredith (Lorne) Knodel; six grandchildren, Dawson (Katrina) Knodel, Chris (Traci) Knodel, Denver (Julie) Knodel, Thaler (Kathryn) Knodel, Jillian (Bryant) Munton and Natalie Cox; eleven great grandchildren, Euestace, Peregrine, Theoden, Shiloh, Ben, Foster, Elyas, Mylo and Timothy Knodel, and Taya and Tessa Munston; and brother-in-law Keith Cox as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bill on December 7, 2011, her parents Mary and Amsey Frey and her sister Grayce Nash. As a girl, Jean lived in May City (Maton, Alberta), Gallahad, Alberta, Didsbury, Alberta and the Mountain View District east of Didsbury. Following her marriage to Bill, they lived in Big Valley, Alberta, Portland, Oregon, Didsbury, and Simcoe, Ontario before moving to Medicine Hat to serve at Hillcrest Church. In her later years, Jean had lived at Chinook Village, Masterpiece Southland Meadows and Good Samaritan's Southridge Village.
The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Tuesday May 13, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Steve Pahl officiating.

A private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
