Jean Alberta Fandrich of Bowell, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the age of 88 years. She is survived by her four children, Bill (Linda) Anderson of Medicine Hat, Linda (Hal) Beaupre of Bassano, Paul (Connie) Pearce of Swift Current and Kathy (Brad) Dieterle of Burstall; Nine grandchildren, Amanda (Sean) Campbell, Jeremy Anderson, Brandy Abrahamson, Nikki (Randy) Bunney, Eric Abrahamson, Christine Pearce, Brian (Dalyn) Pearce, Randy Dieterle and Byron Dieterle; three sisters, Annie Metz, Ellen Edler, Hazel Frank; one brother-in-law, Bev Aman; two sister-in-laws, Zonia and Marilyn Tokamp and numerous great grandchildren. She also leaves her beloved dog Mookie.
Besides the love of her life, Fredrick Stickle, Jean was predeceased by her parents John and Christine Tokamp; two brothers, John Tokamp and Jerry Tokamp; two sisters, Irene Switzer and Dollie Aman; brothers-in-law, Glen Switzer, Dave Metz, Ray Edler and Lloyd Frank; one grandson, Dylan Unser.
Jean was born on July 4, 1937 in Medicine Hat to John and Christine Tokamp. She was famous for her cooking and for her infamous cheese buttons. For the last sixteen years, Jean lived on the farm in Bowell, affectionately named “Little Ponderosa” with her eldest daughter Linda. She was the happiest while on the farm taking care of her animals. Jean was also looking forward to moving to Bassano with Linda and her son-in-law Hal.
The Celebration of Life will be held in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant Pat Grisonich officiating. A private interment will take place at the Hillside Cemetery.
