Jeanette Marie Jorven of Fort St. Jon B.C. beloved wife of Christopher Jorven passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the age of 69.
Born in Athabasca Alberta, to François and Adeline Ricard. She moved to St. Albert, Alberta and attended St. Albert Catholic School and graduated from St. Albert High School.
Jeanette married Chris in 1976, and they had two children. She was an avid golfer and long-time member of the Oilwives Club of Fort St. John. She worked at various businesses in Fort St. John in her early days. In 1996, she went to work as a School Bus Driver for SD 60. She worked there for 25 years and retired in 2021.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Christopher, and two children, daughter, Nicole (Stephan) and, son Ryan (Dayna); eight grandchildren, Ashleigh, Zoe, Emma, Mikayla, Christopher, Preston, Logan and newest Sophie; one great-grandson, Jasper who she adored; six siblings, Phillip, Rosanne, David, Robert, Adele and Edmond. Jeanette is predeceased by her parents, Francois and Adeline; one sister, Bernice and three brothers, Lawrence, Raymond and Eugene.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium.
A celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held at a later date.
