June-Ann Wagman Obituary

June Wagman, aged 83, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and community spirit. Born to Frank and Daisy Kozdial in Summerberry, SK, June lived a life marked by hard work, and devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving children Patti Wagman (Arwyn Evans) of Medicine Hat and Marti Wagman of Melbourne, Australia; grandchildren Gareth Evans, Rhys Evans, Leah Wagman, and Carter Wagman, as well as her sister Marion Moskowy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
June's journey was shaped by love and loss. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Neil Wagman, her parents Frank and Daisy Kozdial, her brother Lorne Kozdial, and her infant daughters Mary Ann and Joanne Lynn.
June's life was a testament to resilience and commitment. Before marrying Neil, she pursued her dream job as a teacher. However, upon joining Neil in marriage, she embarked on a new adventure, dedicating herself to the family dairy farm near Balgonie, SK. Together, they nurtured the land and their family with steadfast dedication. June's greatest joys were found in her roles as a mother and grandmother.
Throughout her life, June was actively engaged in her community, lending her time and talents to various causes and organizations. Her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was known for having many talents, most notably her skill in calligraphy, glass painting and her legendary perogies! You could always tell when June was in a room; her unmistakable laugh would fill the space, rising above even the loudest chatter.
In her final years, June received exceptional care and support from the staff at The Wellington and the compassionate caregivers at South Country Village, Haven View. Their dedication provided comfort and solace to June and her family during her time of need.
A funeral to celebrate June's life will be held later this summer, allowing family and friends to come together and honor her memory in a meaningful way. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society, South Country Village care home, or a charity of your choice in June's honor.
June will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and warmth. May she rest in eternal peace.
