It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lillian (Stefie) Hrabarchuk on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the age of 77 years in Medicine Hat, AB.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Gerry; two daughters, Kylie (Mark), Darlene (John); seven grandchildren, Emma, Zack, JD and Vic Hrabarchuk, Alexis, Jeffrey and Joshua Owsjanikow. She also leaves her sister, Elizabeth and her brother, Evie and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Annie Kuz; two brothers, Joseph and Frank; one grand child Kaleb.

Stefie was born in Russell, Manitoba, on May 18, 1948. As a child she loved Ukrainian dancing and was active in the church youth group. She married Gerry in May 1969, and they shared a life for over 56 years.  Stefie worked at the bank until they started a family and then remained at home raising their children.  Stefie was an active member of Holy Eucharist Church, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, beginning in 1969.  This is where many good friends were made. Stefie enjoyed special occasions with family & friends. She enjoyed making traditional Ukrainian dishes to share.  A few years ago, her and Gerry moved to Alberta to be closer to family.

Cremation has been entrusted to Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium.  Stefie will be laid to rest at a later date.  Those who wish to remember Stefie with a donation, may do so to the charity of your choice.  

Thank you to the staff at St Joseph's for taking care of her the last few months.
