Lorene Moser Obituary

Lorene (Stolz) Moser of Leader, Saskatchewan, beloved wife of the late Oscar Donald Moser, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025 at the age of 84 years, in Calgary Alberta, surrounded by all her children and grandchildren in a room full of love for her.

Lorene was born in Prelate, Saskatchewan on December 7, 1940, to parents Gottlieb and Adele Stolz, and was raised and lived her live in Leader, Saskatchewan.  She met and married Oscar Donald Moser in 1966 and they continued to raise their family of four children (Malcolm, Allison, Miles and Trent).

Lorene went on to study and train to become a Licenced Practical Nurse (LPN) and worked her whole career in the Leader Union Hospital (now Leader Hospital) and a short stint at the Western Senior Citizen’s Home until she retired at the age of 72.  She will forever be remembered for her dedication, caring, compassionate, and loving nature to the profession.

In her spare time, Lorene loved to bake, play organ, make ceramic décor, gardening, and earlier in her life loved curling, playing ladies softball, was involved in 4H and supporting her children’s numerous sports and activities, by volunteering with the organizations.

Lorene was dedicated to her family.  Her love and compassion for her children and grandchildren was unmeasurable and always made sure they were the priority in her life.  She was the glue of the family and leaves a huge void that will be impossible to fill.

Predeceased
Aside from her husband Oscar Donald Moser, Lorene was predeceased by her son Malcolm Moser, parents Gottlieb and Adele Stolz, her siblings Milbert (Gertrude) Stolz, Willie (Jean) Stolz, Roland Stolz, Annette (Virgil) Hoffman, Harvey Stolz, and extended and in-law family August (Doreen) Stolz, Leona Stolz, Lloyd Sulz and Ron Romanchuk

She leaves to celebrate and continue her life in memory – her children Allison (Shayne), Miles (Vicky), Trent and her grandchildren MacKenzie, Trinity and Ava; and family members Hugo Stolz, Sharon Stolz, Marleen Sulz, Dianne Romanchuk and numerous nieces and nephews.
