Margaret Elhart Obituary

Margaret Rose Elhart passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the age of 67 years, beloved wife of Keith Elhart of Medicine Hat.  She also leaves to cherish her memory two children, Bobbie (Shawn) Elhart-Palech and Jordon Elhart all of Medicine Hat; her close friend Darlene Ford “Sister Suzie”; and her beloved Shitzu, Sadie.  She was predeceased by her parents, Mathilda and Henry Schmidt.  Margaret was born on October 15, 1948, in Drumheller and raised on a farm north of Irvine.  Marg and Keith were married in September 19, 1970 in Medicine Hat and had resided for a short period of time in both Calgary and Winnipeg.  After returning to Medicine Hat, Marg joined Sears in 1980, and worked there until her retirement in 2010.  Marg was an avid reader and a loving homemaker.  She also enjoyed many years camping with her family and loved the vacations she and Keith took to the Hawaiian Islands.  Marg was a very positive person and loving mother, wife and friend to all who knew her.  The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend.  Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. - 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 8E8 or Save Old Souls, P.O.
