Marian Louise Stark of Medicine Hat, Alberta, formerly of Estevan, Saskatchewan, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the age of 72 years.  She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Heather (Joey) Scherger; sisters Cathy (Gene) Smith and Cindy (Daniel) Ulmer-Timlen; sister-in-law Helen Stark and brother-in-law Morley Dryden as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by James Stark her husband for 46 years; her parents Grace and Arthur Ulmer; her brother Perry Ulmer; her mother and father-in-law Mathilda and Thomas Stark; her brother-in-law George Stark; sisters-in-law Marion (Paul) Dornian, Bertha (Fay) Whitman, Irene (Raymond) Orser and Marjorie Dryden.

Marian was born in Neudorf, Saskatchewan. After growing up in D’Arcy, Saskatchewan and graduating high school in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Marian found herself in Saskatoon, and then Calgary, continuing her education and working.  Marian eventually moved back to Saskatchewan, to the city of Estevan, where she was able to be closer to her family and had job opportunities.  It was in Estevan that Marian met her husband Jim,  gave birth to their daughter, Heather and began her career of 38 years at SaskPower, where she eventually retired.  Marian enjoyed reading many, many, many books over the years, spending time with family and friends, travelling and getting away for the weekend whenever the opportunity arose.  Marian also took an interest in hockey, curling and Canadian football.  Marian was a huge Saskatchewan Roughriders fan and looked forward to every single game day.

Cremation has been entrusted to the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM.
