On Saturday, May 17, 2025, Marion Elizabeth Fleming (nee:Blosser) of Medicine Hat peacefully passed away at the age of 91 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Lois (Marcus) Schack, Linda (Ralph) Swan, Beverley (Robert) MacPhee, Barry Fleming and Dale (Kim) Fleming; four grandchildren Dana (Erik) Swan, Cari (Michael) Fen, Corey (Jackie) MacPhee and Ashley (Ben) Matheson; seven great grandchildren Makayla (Brendon) Nuzback, Joshua and Caleb MacPhee; Kalvyn and Phoenix Fen; Sara and Daniel Stelter as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Marion was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Rea Alexander Fleming; her parents Noah and Edna Blosser; brothers Frank Elston Blosser and William Earl Blosser; and sister-in-law Jean Blosser.
In the 18 years she lived at The Sierras in Lethbridge, everyone knew her as “Marion the Librarian” where she looked after book donations to their large library. Mom loved to read, travel and dance. You could be sure that her toes would be tapping during any musical events. Mom was passionate with all things she loved, keeping in touch with her roots and family (which meant handling social media and the internet with ease), traveling to as many countries as she could with her daughter Lois, and keeping a busy social calendar with her friends. She will be greatly missed and remembered.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Meadow Ridge Seniors Village and St. Joseph’s for taking such amazing care of her in her last years.
To honour Marion’s wishes she will be interred at the Moffat Cemetery in Moffat, Saskatchewan.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium.
