Mary Ann Fode, of Redcliff, beloved wife of the late Leland Fode, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the age of 80 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Carol Davis, Tannis Fitzhenry and Terry (Rachaelle) Fode; thirteen grandchildren, James, Matthew, Robbie, Richard, Chyanne, Brendon, Shayla, Clinton, Jessica, Devon, Regin, Treyden and Taija; thirteen great grandchildren; four sisters, Georgina (Joe), Darlene, Audrey and Carol and one brother, Jim (Donna). She was predeceased by her parents, Orville “James” and Mary Spiering; her sister, Carol Aslin and her sons, Colin and Shayne Fode. Mary was born on July 21, 1945, to Orville “James” and Mary Spiering. She lived in both Medicine Hat and Redcliff throughout her life, and worked as a cook at Dublin’s Pub and in her later years at the Redcliff Legion. Mary could always be found doing word searches, crosswords or diamond art, and once or twice a week you could find her at Tim Hortons having an iced cap with close friends. Mary enjoyed watching her great grandchildren play sports. She also enjoyed her extensive collection of angels. A highlight for Mary was her yearly Mother’s Day outing with her daughter, grand daughter and great granddaughter, to the greenhouses and butterfly house.

Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A graveside  service  will be held in the REDCLIFF CEMETERY on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant David Townsend officiating.
