May Craipley of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Gus Craipley, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the age of 93 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Wayne (Sheila) Craipley and David Craipley (Patricia Whiting); four grandchildren, Reed Craipley (Kyra Bulley), Clare Craipley (Kenji Kinoshita), Mack Craipley, and Mitch Craipley; two great grandchildren, Autumn and Aiden; her twin brother, Thomas Graves and two sisters-in-law, Donna Lachapelle, and Pauline Graves. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Hazel Graves; her brother, Robert Graves and her sister-in-law, Lorraine Graves. May was born on December 19, 1932, near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, to John and Hazel Graves. She married Gus in 1945, and in 1973, they settled in Medicine Hat. Upon arriving in Medicine Hat, May went to work for Cee Gee Earthmoving Ltd as the office manager and accountant, where she worked for twenty-two years until she retired in 1997. She will be remembered for her love of family, cheering on her favourite curling teams, and always being up for a game of cards or dice.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium.
