Norm passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the age of 93 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Jean Jenette Derheim and their son Randy Blaine Derheim. Norm will be lovingly remembered by his two children, Barry (Yvonne) Derheim and Tannis (Blaine) Zubot. He had six grandchildren, Mitch Drader, Sean (Cherilynn) Desabrais, Desirea (Ken) Cox, Kyle Campbell, Brett Zubot and Vanessa (Morgan) Stanton. Grandpa had eight great grandchildren, Riley and Colby Cox, Maliah and Davin Desabrais, Harper and Maverick Drader, Jackson and Tristan Stanton. Norm was born on February 12, 1931, in Medicine Hat. On March 25, 1954, he married Jean Becker in Medicine Hat. Our Dad was an avid sports fan of the Medicine Hat Tigers, Toronto Blue Jays and Calgary Flames. He ran the poolhall for 27 years and was known as Bert’s Billiards and then later changed it to  Norm’s Billiards. Our family would like to thank all his customers over the years for making it a great place for friends and families to gather. After retiring he volunteered for the Meals on Wheels Program for 17 years. Dad loved being around people all the time. He also leaves to cherish his memory, friend Rosie Bolz, brother Harvey Derheim, sister Agnes Minnes, sister-in-law Alma Becker, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Norm was also predeceased by his parents, Emil and Lydia Derheim; and other family members, Lloyd and Anne Becker; Earl and Alice Becker; Ray Becker; Ruth and Josh Ford; Adeline and Charles Mogck; Harvey and Alice Becker; Martha Derheim; and Gord Minnes. We would like to thank the caring staff at the George Boyack Care West Facility and the South Health Campus in Calgary. 

A private family service will be held at a later date.
