Norman William Lippert passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the age of 84 years. He played many roles in his life: son, husband, father, friend, handyman, business owner, and life of the party. Living his entire life in Medicine Hat, he seemed to know everyone and was fondly greeted wherever he went. His lifelong passion for photography was legendary, and his collection of more than 30,000 slides and photographs are a treasured family history. As an avid gardener he spent countless hours cultivating the flowers and shrubs that were the backdrop to many family weddings and celebrations over the years. He and his wife Beverly lived and loved in the brick house on the corner for 46 years, welcoming friends and family with open doors and open hearts. He loved antiques and history, woodworking and his 1967 Chrysler Imperial. Life wasn’t always easy, but he had a smile and a ready hug for anyone who needed it.
Norm is survived by sister Fern Anton, and two sons Dustin Lippert (Neeloffer Mookherjee) and Tim (Jackie) Lippert. He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Ann Lippert; his parents, Grace and Arthur Lippert; son Lenny Lippert, and brother-in-law, Harvey Anton.
A private graveside service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, and as an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
