It is with great sadness that the family of Olga Sidorak announces the death of our Mother, Baba and Great Baba on October 20, 2023 at the age of 95 years.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, William; her daughter, Cheryl Herzog; her son, Ron Sidorak; her grandchildren, Chad (Julie) Sidorak, Tara Atwell, Kristina (Rob) Schultz, and Lauren Herzog, along with her great grandchildren, Nico Sidorak, Mia Schultz, and Avery Herzog. Olga was predeceased by her great grandchildren, Derrick Sidorak and London Herzog.
Olga was born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan on October 12, 1928, where she grew up. She attended Milner School in the Rosthern District and then Scott Business College in Saskatoon. She worked at the Eaton’s Company in Toronto and once married moved back to Saskatchewan where she worked at the University Hospital in Saskatoon.
In 1951, she married William Sidorak and they were together for 72 years. Olga was a member of St. Peter and Paul’s Church in Saskatoon and the ladies league for many years. Bill and Olga moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta in 2001 to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Olga was very proud of her Ukrainian heritage and loved to follow the customs her mother and father, Alex and Francis Hrapchak, taught her.
