Patricia Linda Drefs passed away on October 15, 2025, in Medicine Hat at the age of 73. Linda was born on December 3, 1951, in Medicine Hat to Emil and Josephine Drefs.

After graduating from Crescent Heights High School in 1973, she went on to graduate as a Nursing Assistant from the General Hospital in Calgary, Alberta before returning to Medicine Hat. Due to mental health conditions, she was unable to continue that career and over the last 40 years she lived in Lethbridge, Alberta until returning to Medicine Hat in January of this year as her health was beginning to deteriorate.

Linda is survived by one remaining sibling, her brother Randy (Kathy) Drefs of Medicine Hat. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Josephine along with her brother James (Terri) Drefs and her sister, Shannon Traxel. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces along one aunt, Julia McElwee of Selkirk, Manitoba. 

A private graveside service will be held at the Hillside Cemetery.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium.
