Patrick Allen Whidden Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Patrick Allen Whidden.  Known to many as Paddy, he was born on January 12, 1953, in Fairview, Alberta, to parents Hal and Elsie Whidden.  He was a cherished brother to Dale, Sherry (Tony) Parrottino, and Peggy Ducklow.

Paddy is survived by his loving wife, Lynne Whidden, and his three son: Chance (Lisa) Whidden, Judd Whidden, and Tanner Whidden.  He is also lovingly remembered by his stepchildren: CJ (Kelly) Houben, Priscilla (Jody) Blokland, Chelsey Houben (Chris), and Chance Houben, as well as the mother of his sons, Lorraine Bumstead.

Paddy leaves behind a legacy of love and guidance in his grandchildren: Payton and Cole (Chance); Emily and Gunner (Judd); Hannah and Karter (Priscilla); Paxton, Maya, Deagan, and Sydney (Chelsey); and Jase, Kade and Beau (CJ).

A man of deep faith, strong values, and unwavering service, Paddy found joy in nature - whether hunting, fishing, kayaking with Lynne, or driving the Alaska Highway he so dearly loved.  He especially treasured teaching and spending time with his boys.

While we will miss him more than words can express, we find comfort in knowing that he is home.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As per his wishes, Paddy will be laid to rest alongside his parents in Sicamous, British Columbia.
