Richard Peter Ressler, of Medicine Hat, Alberta, beloved husband of Brenda Joyce Ressler, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the age of 78 years. Richard married Brenda on December 27, 1980. Besides his loving wife, Richard is survived by his daughter Tammy (Rob) Belau; grandchildren Madison (Chelsea) Belau and Courtney Belau (Dominic Votta); brother Art (Ina) Ressler; nephews Brad (Jacqui) Ressler and Doug (Helene) Ressler and their families; as well as numerous cousins. Richard was predeceased by his parents Jack and Gertrude Ressler. Richard was born on October 2, 1945, in Leader, Saskatchewan. He began his career at CP Rail in 1972 and retired as a Conductor in 2005. We would like to sincerely thank Home Care for the many years of excellent care given to Richard. As well, we want to express our deep appreciation for Dr. Saujani and Dr. Parks. A Private Celebration of Life will be held at the Pattison Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Centre, followed by a Private Interment at Hillside Cemetery. Those who wish to remember Richard with a donation may do so to either the Medicine Hat SPCA, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
