Robert James Denison Obituary

Robert "Bob" Denison of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Edith Eileen Denison, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the age of 97 years.

Bob was born in Napanee, Ontario, on May 12, 1928.  Born to Emma and Robert Dorland, he was the oldest of three children.

Bob always dreamed of coming to Calgary to see the Stampede. He met Edith Eileen when he was in Calgary, and eventually they got married.  Jaime Wesley (Sharon, Donna), was the first child to arrive, and he was soon followed by Robert Bruce (Wendy) and Susan Elaine (Dwight). Bob worked three jobs to support his family, he worked the graveyard shift for the City of Calgary, and he worked at AMA as a driving instructor in the evenings, and doing road patrol on the weekends. Bob and Eileen enjoyed traveling across Canada as well as many of the States, they especially loved the Yukon and Alaska.  He would take on a crib game at anytime and he won many trophies playing darts across Alberta.  Bob was also a member of the #1 Legion.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Susan Brady; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and his sister, Vera French.

He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen Denison; his parents, Emma and Robert Dorland; his brother, Donald Denison and his two sons, Wes and Robert Denison.
