Rodney Martin

Rodney “Rod” George Martin, born March 10, 1956, in Maple Creek, peacefully passed away on October 10, 2023 in Medicine Hat.  He was a loving father and the eldest of eleven siblings.  He is survived by his two children, Garett Martin and Stephanie Martin; his loving mother, Emma Martin; six sisters, Peggy (Tim) Kosolofski, Maizie Martin (Doug Mingo), Bonnie (Peter) Ozdan, Karen (Wilks) Abbott, Rhonda (Kevin) Weiss, Brenda Martin (Grant Shapley); three brothers, Roger Martin, Richard Martin, Bobby (Karen) Martin as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Rodney was predeceased by his father, George Martin; his brothers, Ronald Martin and Brent Martin and his sister-in-law, Tanny Martin.

Rodney’s deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing and camping, connected him with nature and his family. He will be missed by all who knew him. A funeral service to honor Rodney’s life will be held at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, Pat Grisonich officiating.  Those who wish to remember Rodney with a donation, contributions may be made to the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
