Shelley Anne Hirsch of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Tom Storozuk, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the age of 58 years.

Shelley was born in Medicine Hat to Norm and Fern Hirsch.  Four years later she was introduced to her baby brother, who made her life interesting.  Shelley made her way through school concluding it with her grade twelve diploma.  She had various jobs throughout her life beginning with Servicemaster and then onto D+S Cleaning, in retail at Sears Health and as a sales associate at Walmart.  In that time she met her husband, Tom Storozuk and together they created a beautiful daughter, Cheyenne.  In 2008, Tom passed on.  Shelley stayed a widow until her passing and is now reunited with Tom. Shelley lived a quiet life tending for her aging parents while raising Cheyanne and spending time with her niece, Sytara, who spent quite a bit of time with them.  Shelley had a deep love for all her friends, family and our family friends and she cherished her time with her aunts, uncles and cousins whenever she got the chance.  Shelley was a gentle soul who cared about everyone, always putting herself last. She left her mark in the hearts of those she met and loved and will be greatly missed. 

Shelley leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Cheyanne; her brother, Derek Hirsch (Mij Wolcoski); her father, Norm Hirsch; her niece, Sytara Hirsch as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and their families. 

She was predeceased by her mother, Fern Hirsch; her husband, Tom Storozuk; five uncles, Randy Hirsch, Bruce Bailey, Gary Bailey, Martin Bailey and Dan Oudot; her aunt, Donna Hirsch and two cousins, Cameron Bailey and Patrick Norman Bailey. 

Those who wish to pay their respects may do so in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026. 

The funeral mass will be celebrated in the HOLY FAMILY PARISH (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Fernando Genogaling celebrant.
