Sheryl Lynn Dowler Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sheryl Lynn Dowler of Medicine Hat, Alberta, beloved wife of Michael William Dowler. Sheryl passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, at the age of 56 years, surrounded by the love of her family.

Sheryl’s memory will be forever cherished by her devoted husband Michael, her loving parents Maryann and Daryl, her father-in-law Carl, her sister Sandra (Lorne), and her three children: Bradley (Tiersa), Chelsey (Michael), and Kaley (Ryan). She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Ramona, Xaria, Xenaya, Xaylin, and Casper, each of whom brought endless joy to her life.

In her passing, Sheryl is reunited with her beloved children Brentley and Shandi, as well as her father, Henry, and her mother-in-law Shirley. Their reunion brings comfort to all who mourn her, knowing she is surrounded by the love that meant so much to her in life.

Born on August 15, 1968, in Steinbach, Manitoba, Sheryl’s life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and love. She eventually moved to Medicine Hat, where she met Michael. The two married on November 1, 1987, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.

In 2016, Sheryl proudly graduated from the LPN program, earning the Student of the Year award—a reflection of her dedication and determination. Her compassionate nature touched countless lives throughout her career, and she will be fondly remembered by her patients, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sheryl’s legacy is one of kindness, strength, and selflessness. Her family, friends, and colleagues will forever hold her in their hearts, cherishing the many ways she made the world brighter simply by being in it.

Sheryl will be dearly missed, but her love and memory will live on in all who knew her.
