Stanley George Sackman “Steamer” of Medicine Hat, Alberta, beloved husband of Lana Sackman, passed away suddenly but peacefully on December 15, 2024, at the age of 66 years. He was born on November 2, 1958, to Gottlieb and Linda Sackman (nee: Hoff) in Medicine Hat, Alberta. As the youngest of seven siblings, Stan grew up in a large family and cherished the bonds he shared with his brothers and sisters. He attended Parkside School in Redcliff, Alberta, where he spent his early years before settling in Redcliff. In 1995, Stan moved his family to an acreage in Dunmore, Alberta, where they enjoyed the open spaces and community. Seven and a half years ago, Stan and his beloved wife, Lana, relocated to Desert Blume, Alberta, where they have made their home ever since.

On August 18, 1984, Stan married the love of his life, Lana Sackman. Their marriage was a testament to devotion, love, and partnership. Fiercely dedicated to his family, Stan’s selflessness and commitment provided a strong foundation for those he loved, while asking for nothing for himself.
Stan was a man of quiet strength and unwavering loyalty. He was a kind and generous man, offering a helping hand, hearty laugh, or words of encouragement wherever he could. His genuine and reassuring smile touched many hearts. Stan’s warm and friendly nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of meeting him.
