Troy Nicholas Teierle Obituary
Troy Nicholas Teierle, beloved husband of April Teierle, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 43 years, leaving behind a life defined by intelligence, hard work and a generous spirit.
Troy was born in Medicine Hat, to parents, Darlene and Perry Teierle. He grew up and attended high school in the city he always called home, where he formed many lifelong friendships that remained important to him throughout his life. After graduating, he followed his father into the oil field, where he worked hard and built a strong career, eventually becoming a rig manager. From a young age, Troy always loved riding. He started with a pedal bike and worked his way up through dirt bikes, quads, and Ninja motorcycles, eventually landing on his final motorcycle, a cherished Harley-Davidson Street Glide that was his prized possession.
Troy was known for being very meticulous and hands-on. He enjoyed building models and taking things apart just to put them back together again. He loved to travel and spend time swimming and relaxing by the pool. He will be remembered for having a heart as big as his stature, as he was a larger-than-life presence who truly loved bringing people together. He will also be remembered for his distinctive giggle and his big, beautiful smile - both of which left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Troy passed away after a long, hard, and courageous battle with leptomeningeal spread (LMS) of glioblastoma (GBM), and throughout his journey, he deeply valued rasing awareness and support for these illnesses.
Troy leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, April Teierle; his parents, Darlene and Perry Teierle; his daughter, Sarah Zemp; his step-daughter, Harley Smith; his sister, Alicia Teierle; his brother-in-law, George Robar, and his niece, Frankie Robar. He was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Lila Teierle and Ann and Mike Vollman; his uncle, Gordon Vollman; his cousin, Vanessa Berreth and his nephew, Bradley Robar.
