Walter Satzke

Walter Satzke of  Redcliff, passed away at River Ridge, on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the age of 93 years, beloved husband of the late Olga Satzke.  He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters Ingrid Augustine and Rosemary (Sheldon) Ellik; his grandchildren Tammy (Darryl) Ross, Brent Satzke, Jason (Kara) Ellik, Jenny Ellik and Troy (Jaclyn) Ellik; seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law Marlene (Kim) Bohnet and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Anton and Friederike Satzke; one son Harry, a son-in-law Siegfried Augustine, four brothers and seven sisters.  Walter was born on April 14, 1931, in Schwandorf, Germany and married Olga Koenig in 1952.  In July of 1952, they immigrated to Canada settling in Redcliff where Walter worked as a bricklayer by trade.   

Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service  will be held in St. Paul Lutheran Church (515 Sprague Way S.E.) on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ken Edel officiating. 

Interment will take place at Redcliff Cemetery.
