Wessly “Wes” William Feil of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Agnes Feil, passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 93.
Wessly leaves to cherish his memory five nieces, three nephews and four sisters-in-law. Wessly was predeceased by his parents, August and Rose Feil of Maple Creek; three brothers, Ivan Feil of Scottsdale Arizona, Victor Feil of Calgary and Edward Feil of Golden Prairie, and one brother-in-law Ken Kohls of Edmonton. Wes was born August 21, 1932, in the Golden Prairie District. In 1955, Wes married Agnes and they farmed together in the Golden Prairie area until 2000, when they retired to Medicine Hat. Wes was the eldest and last surviving of the four boys. When the four of them were together at family gatherings there was always so much laughter and joking around. Wes was an avid pool player and spent time playing pool and visiting with the other residents of Grandview Village and Masterpiece.
A graveside service will be held at the Hillside Cemetery on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend officiating. Those who wish to remember Wes with a donation may do so to the Prairie Gleaners Society (112 1st Street SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 3Y9) or Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church (3785 13th Ave SE).
